Looking at the Turkey Vulture

Early in the springtime, before the leaves were full green on the trees, we went to the nature center located right in our community.  Leslie Nature Center has trails, community gardens, and raptors.  Kestrals, Turkey Vultures, Owls...We went to visit our feathered friends late one Sunday afternoon before dinner.

Gabriel was thrilled by the turkey vulture, but for some reason, he was scared by the owls.  He kept hiding his head on our shoulders every time we saw them.  Yet, when we saw the Mama Eagle being carried by her handler on her way to get her supper...Gabriel asked,  "Iggle, play? Please?"
